This was very well done. You explained your opinions clearly and used great sources from the book. The second quote you used was just the ideal way, but is rarely followed. I don’t think that he was contradicting himself as much as just saying what he believes is the perfect American Family. Otherwise, great job. I like the questions at the end because it gives the reader something to think about.

I didn’t feel the quote was necessary because it contradicts what you believe. Possibly, try finding a quote that supports your argument. I enjoy your conclusion sentence and this was a great post.
